2010 Indiana State Fair Grand Champion. We found this boar to be complete in all areas, yet possessing a lot of product down his top and finishing with a huge square rump to go ahead and call him Meat Packer.  Soundness is a very easy task for this boar day in and day out having big square even toes front and back, while placing them on all four corners.  Whether your looking for a barrow to compete in the final drive of your show or want to replace some out of trend females this guy will provide on either end.

Sired by the Fall Classic Champion Duroc boar, Mass Monster. Game Changer is incredibly wide based (he leaves you as wide as he comes at you), heavy boned, deep ribbed, stout skulled, high tail set, all in a very sound complete package. He comes from a very deep litter and is the best boar Mark Hurd has ever produced. He will work on all types of sows while being a total outcross to the popular lines today. A sow bred to him will very valuable next spring.

Huxley

Complete and Balanced yet Sound, Wide & Powerful.
Harman Farms bought Huxley’s mother (Special Collection X Totally Awesome) from RW Genetics as a bred gilt in the summer of 2009.  At a very young age he stood out from the rest as he still does today.  He is moderate framed, wide based, big topped, and balanced while being extremely flexible.  This litter was very deep with two littermate gilts finishing at the top at every major gilt show where they showed.  We think that this consistency will pass onto his offspring. He is expected to produce tough showy barrows and gilts.

Ruby

Service Sire: Big Buck
Due Date: 11/2/2011

This sow was a purchase from Shipley a few years ago from his online sale.  Ruby is a level made, very sound brood sow that can be taken one of many ways when being bred. She is very complete in all areas with no holes to criticize her on. Ruby’s hip and hind leg is very near perfect which only adds to the quality of her makeup and value for us in our herd. We have retained two females out of her for many of these reasons.

Ginger

Service Sire: Meatpacker
Due Date: 1/14/2012

Ginger was the 2008 Reserve Grand Gilt at the Fall Classic purchased from Huinker Durocs. This sow is a perfect symbol of how John puts hogs together at Huinkers. Bone, correctness, soundness, and carrying excellent muscle shape. Her mothering ability is one to take note of and try to match. Great milking and ease of farrowing makes time in the crate a stress free environment. This breeding, we combined her with Game Changer from Mark Hurd Showpigs. I felt strong about him after visiting with Mark and seeing his father, Mass Monster at Duncan.  The litter should be loaded with bone, muscle, power and one more time muscle.

Ruby

Service Sire: True Blood
Due Date: 2/2/2012

This is one of the two females we retained out of our Ruby sow. She is a very close copy of her mother. She too is busted wide open and might be carrying a tick more muscle. We bred her to Game Changer of Mark Hurd’s to see what might come of his power and muscle when matched with her soundness and width throughout.

Elly

Service Sire: Meatpacker
Due Date: 2/10/2012

This gilt was the Reserve Champion at the 2010 Summer Type Conference.  Tyler Park from IN purchased her at the Prairie State Semen Appreciation Sale as a club pig and did a wonderful job raising her. We purchased her back knowing the sow line behind her as she's out of Buck Cherry on the sire side.  She is a deep deep bodied gilt that is busted open from front to rear.  Elly floated around the ring with ease at Louisville while displaying a profile that would make any barrow feeder very excited. The width on the top of her huge rib cage carries through to a square, nearly perfect hip giving her way too many breeding pieces not to own her again and retain in the herd.  This time we bred her to Meat Packer to generate some exciting barrows for the early shows while thinking of finishing strong with some flashy females for the State Fairs or retaining to better the sow herd.

Rupunzel

Service Sire: Crown Royal
Due Date: 2/18/2012

This gilt is out of the same foundation sow as Fadora. We had this gilt entried for Duncan in 2010, but the closer it got time to head there, I couldn’t part with her. Everyday I did chores she greeted me with the most power of any red gilt I have seen in quite some time. She is the widest base and heaviest muscled from behind of any female we have put together. Rupunzel was recently bred to Huxley which is Harman Farm's boar in Texas. With the pedigree he carries and track record of his littermate gilts, we are hoping for some replacement females.
